djtj,
platys and guppies CAN live in salwater or brakish enviroments, but most are kept in frestwater, i have both platys and guppies in a freshwater enviroment and i have new fry every 2 weeks or so, (not from the same mom)

you could probably put in alot more tetras and other fish. Guppys and platies might not go with the other fish becasue they need more salt.

rummynose tetras can be a bit touchy, they can be sensitive to changes in water conditions so they require a fair amount of care when acclimatizing. They are also fairly sensitive to ammonia, nitrate and nitrite so I honestly wouldn't suggest them to someone that doesn't have a bit of experience. There are other stunning hardy tetras that are worth a look though. If you're getting an angel just try to stay away from nippy tetras like serpaes.

For corydoras, bronze are always great for beginners as they seem to be the "tanks" of the cory world. There is an albino variety that is a pinkish white colour, they are not dyed but are bred specifically for the albino trait. Dyed or tattooed corys are easy to spot because they have unnatural patterns of day-glo colours, stay away from those at all costs. Any of the cory species you mentioned would be fine IMO.

EDIT: okay ive been doing a little reaserch & ive narrowed the cories down to,
gomezi
adolfi
& bronze
(do bronzez come in white im a little confused is there dying involved?)

I wouldnt' suggest adding the ottos till the tanks been set up for a good long time. Don't worry about "algae controll" until you (or they) actually have it .

Also, from what I've read of pandas they're not the most hardy of the corys I'd suggest something a bit more hardy to start with. Exchange for the panadas later if all goes well.

I would probably add a few more to the school of rummy noses, and a couple of bristlenose or ottos for algae control.
