Mine will only eat live crickets. He totally ignores flake and bloodworms. I am feeding him one every evening, is that too much? Any advice would be good... Thanks ![]() |

I have put up to three crickets in there at one time and he will never eat more than two so the other fish get the remainders. He seems happy enough and yes it can be bothersome some evenings trying to find a cricket especially if its a bit chilly! However, it keeps my three boys occupied for a short time ... ![]() ![]() |

The smell of 'worm' speaks to many fish. Insect larvae, wingless fruit flies, washed and finely chopped earthworm or shrimp. Try adding a little garlic to your flakes as an appetite stimulator. I never thought of insect larvae ... so mozzie wrigglers would be ok then? Earthworm flakes sound interesting as well although he seems to ignore flake altogether, and as for chopped up, washed earthworms, good job for the kids!! ![]() Will definately give it a go. Thanks again, everyone is so knowledgable and helpful. ![]() |
