Hi,

I just want to know if a 30cm flexible air/bubble wall will affect fish in a tropical tank? I have fitted one to mine and they seem to stay away from that area of the tank.. its a jebo tank, and i bought the lowest / smallese output jebo pump to power it (the air wall) (901 model i think?)...

I will be greatful of anybodies input into this.

Ps. Tank mates are rainbows, rams, a large sole silver shark, kissing and lace guaramis, pleco, cory and a chinese algae eater (but he not viscous)

Perhaps they just need to get used to it. Some of my fish swim threw and play in the bubbles.

Like was already said, give them time to get used to it. I have them in all of my tank (air stone model bubble curtains) and I have mine on a strong pump and my fish love them for the most part...My corries dive bomb them. My Harlequins join in the game and forget they aren't Dainty Corries, and the Betta joins in....imagine the little fishies playing Bonzaiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!! and Dive Bombing the air stones at random, and then as fast as they swam towards it they swim up...they are hilarious, so give them time and you too will be laying in the floor trying to catch your breath as they play...heidi

You can buy little valves to adjust the airflow. Dial it right down. Then gradually up a little every few days. They will get used to it eventually but just a suggestion.

Bubbles.....purdy.....mmmmmmmmm

It's good because it keeps the water circulating up to the surface. The air water exchange rate can really be increased with one. The only negative lies when food gets taken off the surface of the water by all the bubbles and falls to the substrate, un-eaten, where it will foul the water.

I have also discovered since fishnapping Leslie's Albino Corry Cats ***Shhhh don't tell her*** that it will show the fish that the tank does have a wallthe Albinos I have don't seem to have any depth perception and keep running into the wall without the airstone...gonna have to go get another one:%)
