Siluridae

Really? Never would've guessed with the preponderance of suckermouths in your aquaria.:%)

Correct

Cichlidae, they are I recon one of the cleverist of all tropical fish. with possible the exception of a paradise fish.

When Cichlids do stuff its alway intersting to watch, they always seem to have a game plan. I am not a massive fan of fancy large tailed fish that just flit about.
I wont slag off Cyprinidae too much as I have an excellent Red Tailed Black Shark though. But each to their own

Yeah, it's been a recent undertaking (the silurid fascination, that is). Sadly, they only come in two sizes; small and wels, not to mention that all memebers of the family, save one or two, are practically unavailable in my area. In fact, my reasonably-obtainable-within-this-decade-dream fish list goes somewhat in this order, the first two being notable silurids:

Leaf catfish
Blue sheatfish
Scobinancistrus L-14

Since it's nearly impossible to pick just one favorite species of fish, or even one genera, let's see what the most popular fish families are. Broadening the terms should make it a little easier to choose, though I'll admit that I have trouble choosing just one.

I'm going to have to go with Callichthyidae, though Characidae is a close second.

Piscidae. Family of All Fish.

...Okay, I made that up.:%)

Loricariidae is cool, but I also love Pimelodidae, Scorpaenidae, and Potamotrygonidae as whole groups (rather than individual species within the groups).
