I regually mentioned this product and the reasons why it should be used. I use it at every water change and monthly filter clean. After my 90g tank sprung a leak, I ran my 1 filter on my 25g tank, but of course, because I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get fish out and water out before it was all on my brand new laminate floor, i lost almost all the bacteria (or all maybe not sure), and of course the new tank, all occupants had to re-cycle. 1 small bottle of Stress Zyme, and 7 days later the tank is cycled. I lost 3 of my 4 baby angelfish and most of my guppys (who had been previously sick and gotten over columnaris - likely made them weaker than kittens, mind you I only had about 6-8 adults left), but Stress Zyme works great. Not at all like NI Cycle - which is a crummy product that doesnt work and costs too much. Stress Zyme is awesome, I would reccomend it for any new tank start up, or with each filter cleaning! A) it's not insta-cycle, it takes a few weeks for them to wake up and start doin' their thing B) you don't need it C) you still don't need it D) if you want to dose it once in a while to introduce a new strain of bacteria so you're less likely to succomb to 'old tank syndrome' you're more than welcome |
