| Anamolochromis thomasii spawned - Questions regarding the fry | |

Spur of the moment type thing, wasn't even sure if they were a pair. So the other night I was looking at the tank and I have a cloud of fry - rather small - maybe 2 mm or so in size. The parents are doing a wonderful job chasing off the cories and the gourami I have in the tank. (As soon as I found the fry, I pulled all of the black neons I have - didn't want to chance things) However, the pair is quiet young, and easily startled - when that happens I noticed they grab a fry (For a snack or if their holding it in their mouths I have no clue) So I'm wondering if I should pull the fry and put them into a 5 gallon tank I have - by themselves? (The tank is heated, filtered - inhabitied by a solitary male betta - who I would pull out if I move the fry) Or should I leave them with the parents and hope for their survival? I admit, I've been out of the loop far too long, and I don't remember the answers. Thank you a bunch. Last edited by ceridwen at 16-Oct-2005 17:37 |
