Well as it says, Can angelfish and swordtails go together?????

I know the angels will eat fry of swords but if I were to keep males????

Would this work ?

I'm thinking,
1 angelfish
4 swordtails

In a 29 gallon

Thanks for the help before.

Some Swords are nippy. Not a good thing with long fins.

Mike stole my thunder as I agree that sword tails can be a bit of a fin nipper and torment the angel.]]

i've kept swordfish with my angel - i used them to produce life food for the angel -

i've since moved them to there own tank, so that i had room for my neon rainbows.

i couldn't see a problem - keep your eye on it. might have more problem with the males fighting between themselves.

Mmm, I'll go with the first two posts, and recommend against keeping swordtails with angelfish. They can be fond of nipping at long fins, which angelfish are a great supplier of. I've heard from customers at work who had a viciously nippy swordtail, which wouldn't be a good thing to keep with an angelfish.

That too bad, they would look very nice together in a tank, with the two oppisite shapes.

Thanks a ton anyways guys =p

I also think that Swords are a bit nippy & i wouldn't recommend mixing them together.

I have 2 male swordtails with my angels and I've never seen them bother the angels, they pretty much keep to themselves and chase eachother around.

i actually think (from observation) the female swordtails are the more nippy ones.
