Nick Fish Addict 33 Posts: 553 Kudos: 668 Votes: 509 Registered: 09-Aug-2004 | hey everyone! been away for quite a while...but im back and need some advice. I am considering re-stocking my 55 gal. with a couple of "big fish". Maybe 2 or 3 of something big, maybe Jack Dempsey or Oscars? Any start would be greatly appreciated. p.s. sorry I dont frequent the forums alot anymore, I have gotten very busy with work and family. I feel guilty that I only come on here when im seeking advice. Ill just continue to keep my premie membership up-to-date and support the site that way. <~~~~~~formerly Jessnick |

Once they get settled into their tanks, they are quite interesting aquarium inhabitants. Of maybe you could do a setup with two or three Spiny Eels (depending on the species)? These guys are really fun, and since they don't have teeth in their mouths, you can hand-feed them. If I had a spare tank that size, I would go for something a bit more unusual and not just waste it on a couple big cichlids. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

I will buy a couple of things if needed but I basically dont want to have to change too much in it, which means brakish is out. Edit:just went to the LFS and saw some electric blues and yellows and according to the store I could essentially , add 3 of those fish a piece to the tank (according to them the less you have the more likely they are to be more aggressive) and keep my current setup with the exception of adding coral substrate. This sound right? |
