I was trying to round up some common US Aquarium manufacturers. I managed to find All-Glass and Sea Clear.

What other manufacturers reside in North America? Please provide links.

I'm just investigating tank offerings as I dream away.

Ooooo - Here's one:

http://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=ViewPicture&lPictID=54

You see, I have short arms and I like sticking my hands all the way to the bottom. I have trouble working around in my 36 gallon which is 21 inches deep. The 100 gallon long is only 17 inches deep - sweet :88).

72 x 18 x 17 - that sounds like my planted dream tank.

EDIT: And here's my stand

Now I have to figure out how to move this spring.

Cory_di, that's what I love about the glasscages site. they have such a wide variety of tank sizes. I'd really like either the 65 wide or 95 wide (though with the dimensions 48 x 24 x 17 it turns out to be 85 gallons). these slightly shorter tanks would work great for cichlid breeder tanks. those extra 3-4" in height really just aren't necessary.

Aww nuts. I just looked at their delivery points. There's not one even close. I don't know that I would trust it being shipped. I would hope they would be careful.

I'm going to continue looking around. I saw a 70 gallon long yesterday by Great Lakes Aquariums (couldn't find a web page) and it too was fairly short. In fact, almost too short at 13 inches. I like the 17. I'd take anything between 17-19 inches high.

Here in Phoenix we have Tencor (tenecor.com). They are one of the largest manufactures of acrylic tanks in the U.S. I can recommend them as they custom built my 300 gallon. When I was tank shopping, I got to take a peak at their manufacturing floor. Very professional, not like the other local "fly-by-night" builders.

I forgot Ocean-Vu Manufacturing (oceanvu.net). Another large acrylic tank builder. If memory serves, they regularly have standard-size tanks on e-Bay. Or maybe it was Blufront Aquatics (blufront.com). Not that I'm partial to acrylic or anything

di, there are shipping companies for a reason.. either they ship it in one piece or they take it back and try until they do, silly They could be on the other side of the planet.. that's the beauty of having it shipped to you

TIM!!!!!!!!!! - I was kind of wondering how well the shipping people handle it tho. I can picture the handling. Tank looks like its in one piece, then springs a leak from broken seals due to torsion from rough handling. But I really like that 100 long. It's got me written all over it. :88)

Thanks for additional links, people. I'm still looking.
