So i went to the fishstore yesterday and i knew i could not fit anymore fish in my tank, but looked for some other stuff to buy, because it seems like all of my money goes towards my fish. Well up by the register they had little bags of bloodworms selling for $2 so i bought one on the spur of the moment!
WOW!! My fish went cray! :%) It was so cool because their behavior looked so natural, and everyone fish had their own way of catching the live worms. The paradise fish would slowly wait and 'sit' still in the water and finally make a sudden jolt and grab a worm. My black neons would quickly dart around the tank and snatch any worm they could, and snap it right down, while still swimming at an amazingly fast pace. The rainbow fish were so cute and would suck the worms in like long strands of pasta! And finally my rams would wait till the worms floated to the bottom, hover over the bloodworm, and stare at it for a moments, before tasting it, then spitting it out, then eating it, which they did everytime!
I know it sounds like i spend waay to much time in front of my fishtank, but i bet there are some members out there who can sympathize with me! It was soo cool!

Black worms not blood worms! Black worms are a wonderful live food for predatory fish. Think of filet mignon for fish. True aquatic worms, they are NOT related to tubifex, a similar looking creature from a different phylla that can carry nasties.

You will only be able to purchase frozen blood worms. Blood worms are mosquito larva, an excellent food. Much more nutritious than the old standby of frozen brihne shrimp. If you are unable to find them in your lfs, go to http://www.aquaticfoods.com.

If you order in bulk, be sure to rinse them once a day and keep them cool or the smell will be horrific!
