xlinkinparkx Fish Addict Posts: 521 Kudos: 353 Votes: 2 Registered: 23-Apr-2005	i have my guppy babies in a bowl i'm just wondering if my pencilfish would eat them, i have 3 in a 5gallon and my little brother is getting plants later but now we just have plastic plants can i add my babies for a few weeks?there bigger then the mouths of the pencils, i also dont know what kind they are, it said rocket pencilfish at my lfs. 10gallon: 8neons 5gallon: 1betta 1oto 2platys

Just make sure that they'll big enough & then add them to your tank. Using my rather rusty Latin, the pencilfish genus name (Nannostomus) means "small mouth". They are not very efficient predators. If the guppies are larger than the pencilfishes' mouths, then it should be fine. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
