I have a lovely Male Betta in a 2 gal tank with heater and whatnot. I was wondering if one could put a african frog in with it? Will the betta attack the frog? Is the bio-load to much?

Depends entirely on the species. Most small frogs are persecuted and eaten by bigger fish, and larger frogs will readily consume fish. If youre thinking of a xenopus or african clawed frog or even the dwarf species you should know that they almost always require live food, and are not great in combination with fish.Species tanks are much better.

I wouldn't add a Frog with a Betta, but i would keep the Betta on his own.

Some people keep african dwarf frogs with them, so I'm sure someone else will have some experience with that that they can share.

I've never had dwarf frogs, but I currently have two african clawed frogs who are almost big enough to eat a betta and are growing quickly, so I definitely wouldn't recommend keeping those with a betta.

I have a betta with african dwarf frogs in a 2.5 gallon, and they get along just great.

The frog eats frozen bloodworms/mysis shrimp and brine shrimp, as well as prepared sinking pellets, he's pretty versatile.

I've never seen my betta take a bite at him, but just be aware that some bettas will, it's always a possibility, so always have plan B ready to house one or the other in case of an altercation.
