| Boesmani power struggle -- what to do? | |

The two fully grown males are clearly having a power struggle -- they're always going flank to flank and fanning their fins at each other. Sometimes the more dominant one will chase the other a little, too, but he's never the one who starts the trouble -- it's always the more subordinate one who challenges him Neither has ever come close to hurting the other one. Is this constant power struggle really stressful for them? If so, I could move one of them to another tank -- but my preference would be to leave them where they are. Opinions? |

There will always be someone who'll want to challenge the alpha male. They do it constantly. It's nothing to worry about it's all show, no damage done. I don't think they find it stressful at all, I swear mine look like they enjoy it, it looks fun to me anyway. I wouldn't worry it's just Rainbows being Rainbows. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
