Hi,

I picked up a school of Pencilfish. When I got home discovered there was a hitch hiker in the bag. Put him in anyway. I would like to get an id on him.

From the shape of the fins and body I reckon it's a Killi of some sort. It's a greenish/yellowish body a little like a Golden Wonder but doesn't have that flat top body. About an inch long. Most noticable feature is the eyes which are an incredibly bright blue/green, even though he's only an inch long the eyes can be seen across the room !

Yep that's it guys - Lampeyes. Bang on the money. Never heard of them before.

Seems hey are a schooling fish - like to be in small groups. Guess I better go get him some buddies. Don't you hate having an excuse to buy more fish

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.
