Bristle nose,Cichlids, and algae | |
crazyfish Small Fry Posts: 9 Kudos: 10 Votes: 5 Registered: 18-Apr-2006 | I need some help with my 150g. I'm having some alage problems, but the water (nitrite, nitrate, ect.) is perfect. Since I have so much rock in the tank, it is hard to keep it clean. I've planned on buying some bristle noses to keep the algae down, since I've read they adapt well to cichlid water conditions. How many bristle noses would you recomend? I was thinking of buying 2-3. Any help is appreciated! -Nick |

Just make sure to supplement their diet with algae tablets once they have cleaned up the tank. Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

It could be caused by feeding, natural and artifical lighting. What type of lighting do you have and how long is it on for also is it too close to natural light. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
