Although they do best in brackish water, most stores keep them in fresh water. Buying a fish that was raised in freshwater and throwing it in brackish water would do just as much harm to the fish as throwing a brackish water fish in fresh water. If your fish was raised in brackish water, keep it that way. If it was raised in fresh water, I would start off in freshwater and raise it slowly to brackish. |
