Thanks in advance!

Probably without hesitating.

Only if the mother didn't eat it first! Most fish will eat a smaller fish, it's only natrual.

Well I have a 5 gallon growout tank for my guppy and platy and was wondering if a small, peaceful fish would work in there without eating the fry. I fish the newborns out of my 10 gallon tank

All bigger fish will eat newborn fry. Even 15 day fry will eat newborns.
