To save you all from reading a rather lengthy story, basically my tank has gone through some rough times in the past couple of months. And unfortunately, due to my own personal rough times I haven't had any extra money to spend on restocking my community. (Of course, I have been keeping up on water changes, filter changes, etc.) However, I now have some extra money and I hope to restock my tank at least a little...

First, some information on my tank... It is a 20g tank. Ammonia, Nitrite at zero. Nitrate around 20. I'm running a TopFin 20 filter along with a Penguin Bio-Wheel 125. My current residents are 2 Cherry Barbs, 3 Harlies, 3 Panda Cories and one Male Betta (named "Sinatra" for the blue around his eyes).

Everybody gets along just fine and everyone looks happy and healthy.

Also, just so someone doesn't waste their breath, I realize I should have more than just 3 Pandas, but I only have 3 because of a rescue I did to get them and it is extrenely hard to find any Cories other than Albinos around where I live. (And I am not a fan of fish via the mail.) So, save your preaching about only have 3 Pandas.

Anyway, I am wondering if anyone has any stocking suggestions?

Also, I definitely want to get at least a few more Harlies to make a school... However, I know that Harlies can be rather small when they are first purchased, so I am wondering if that will be any kind of a problem with my male Betta? He is very peaceful and doesn't bother any of the other fish in the tank. He just swims around, minds his own business and hangs out. However, will having the young (small) Harlies look like a meal to him or anything like that? Does anyone see a major problem with that situation? (I understand that it could just end up being pot luck.) I have a breeder net, do you think I should corral the Betta in that for a day or two until the new Harlies get situated or wouldn't it make much of a difference?

I'm thinking that I would at least like to raise my Harlie count to 7-8 and add some Albino cories... Does this sound reasonable?

Thanks to anyone who leaves their opinions/suggestions/comments/etc.

well..i agree with u when it comes to harlies....add more..and i dont think being juvies will be a problem...it just that the betta might feel crowded once u increased ur stocks and becomes more territorial..well..thats just in my opinion. anyways, if its been with an old community tank..then..u got a peaceful betta. in regards to cories, it would be nice to get more pandas but ive seen some pandas school with other variety of cories.
