Hi,
This is my first time on these forums in a long time, but I come to you in a rough situation. Im in a situation where a downgrade is inevitable, but I am trying to make it the best of both worlds. I have two tanks :

50 gallon planted with 10 Serpae tetra, 2 kuhli and yoyo loaches, and 2 SAE

20 gallon with 3 Fire Bellied toads.

My plan is to create a 50 gallon palaudarium or a tank with some land masses in it. I hope to keep some of the fish in this setup but I am unsure how that work out. I'm just trying to get me and the pets the best situation available. Im hoping to have around 20 gallons of water in the setup but we will see how that works out.

Ive had these fish for about two or three years now and I've kinda grown attached to them, but I need to do a little downgrading because of time constraints and i find this the best solution.

so, does sound like a good idea to you ? Ill take any suggestions or ideas what I can do.

What are the dimensions of the tank? I'm hesitant to suggest all those fish in 20 gallons of water, especially in a river setup where the 20 gallons may not provide the maximum amount of space.

It is a 50 gallon take and its about 4 feet long and about 18-24 inches across. I dont plan on keeping all those fish, but I am hoping to keep some especially the loaches.

The khulis may become food, and i'd rather see some cherry barbs or other smaller, torpedo shaped fishies in there. Not sure how the serpae's would do in that small of a space.

the kuhlis are far to big to become food at this point and with all the java moss I dont think theyll be seen that often. I make take a chance with the serpaes just because I think Id rather keep them than give to a fish store around here( theyre not that great). I am just getting rid of the 2 SAE and keeping the rest.
