My son and his mate were breeding worms and exporting them. He wanted the castings for his Berry farm. The farm was certified organic but all of a sudden he lost it. The only reason was the worm castings. In breeding the worms they covered the beds with old carpet & underfelt this is a very common practice in Aust. The carpet/underfelt contained a very strong poison this was put in during the manufacturing process. It passed through the worms via the castings then into the Berries thus he no longer has a organic product or a organic safe property to grow his berries. Finally he has no Berries To be on the safe side breed your own and take special care on how you grow them. Enough said. I usually just pull mine from the garden. I live in the country and know everything that's been used within a mile of my yard. |

I fed them to my silver for over 8 years. I feed my worms cornmeal. I get them by the 500 count though, so they have plenty of time to clean out anything in their system. There is always a bigger fish... |
