I've heard that if you use eco complete that it cycles your tank instantly. True? Does it depend on the size of the tank? I have the bags and they read, and I quote"contains live heterotrophic bacteria to rapidly convert fish waste".

While I'm not sure if it will completely instantly cycle a tank, it will seed the tank nicely so that, even if you add almost a full stock of fish, you may not even register an ammonia/ nitrite spike. I wouldn't reccommend adding all at once - build your stock up slowly instead. But I do think EC helps minimize any cycling stress.

I am pretty sure eco complete comes packed wet - so it does have a colony of bacteria in there.
I dont know if it will cycle your tank for you, but it cant hurt. I have heard very very good things about eco complete, and have been trying to find it in my area for a long time now.

Eco complete won't fully cycle a completely stocked tank. It can speed up the cycle considerably but you should still start with a few hardy fish and stock slowly.
