That's really strange answering yourself, but well done for finding the answer.

Cup,

I was not pointing the finger at anyone in particular. I waited as long as I could for an answer and I found it myself.

With ALL the members in here, the traffic, I find it hard to believe that NO ONE had a clue as to what to do. That's why I replied to myself and thanked myself for it.

Consider it as cynical form of humour, nothing else.

Sponge
PS : Good idea about the Meth Blue... I will do that. Thanks a bunch !!!

What the hell are you doing?

Anyways, I'm sure no one was ignoring you--few people are on at this hour. I can only speak for myself, but I know nothing about goldfish spawning, so I can't help you there. Best I can assume, a little meth blue and aeration would probably help egg development (a little general egg help). Good luck with them.

Sponge,

You need to remove the eggs from the tank because the other fish will eat them. Set up a small tank 3 to 5 gal with no more than 6" of water. More than that and the pressure of the water will crush the eggs. Setup a low power filter and make sure you put a sponge on the intake. The temperature should be set to about 72°F. The eggs should take about 5 to 7 days to hatch. Make sure your water is crystal clear and well filtered. Eggs are subject to fungus. Normal eggs should look transparent. Any discoloured eegs should be removed and trashed. After a few days, you should see a black spot in the eggs. That will mean the eggs are doing well. The first 3 days, the fry should feed on the egg sack. After that, feed the hatchlings 3 times a day with brine shrimps. Careful not to over feed or underfeed. Once a bit bigger, you can start with crushed flakes.

Hope that helps you. Good luck !

Sponge
