I have a fire eel that I purchased from my LFS about a week ago and she's doing great. I do however have a question about feeding her. She seems to only want frozen bloodworms. I have tried pellets, flake, live feeders and she shows no interest in any. She also seems hungry all the time. She eats 3-4 floating gumdrops at a time per day and still begs for more. How much and how often is safe? She is about 18" and has great girth.

well that number seems fine, what i can't figure out is, she wont eat pellets or other fish. well if u can do it, feed her bloodworms i guess. i dont know if fire eels are the kind of fish that will eat to they die, but that number seems good, since she is a big fish,

p.s on a side question fire eels are FW right? or brackish.

Try frozen krill... Every spiny eel I've dealt with loves them. They are also good food for hand-taming your fish.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
