| Feeding Frozen Cubes | |

When I feed my fish frozen cubes, I first thaw it out in some tank water and then net it out and put it in the tank in several feedings. Do most of you do this or do you just drop the frozen cube or a piece of the frozen cube right in the tank. My Scapes |

When i feed my betta bloodworms i do not drop the whole cube in because obviously that would not be good. Also, i like to soak them first in water so i can spread the cube out over my 4 tanks. (I prefer the packets without cubes because you can take as much or as little as you want ) |

Needless to say, it will be eaten in seconds. ![]() http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

Otherwise, the current pushes it into a corner where it takes too long to thaw. Beginning when I start to smash up the cube, my Characins work on the food. When they're done, they ignore the rest (or futilely try to eat more and end up spitting the worms out) and the leftover grub sinks to the bottom where my ram and catfish are waiting. They finish it all off shortly afterwards. |
