I have a 5 gallon with a new found female betta in it.
I would like to know if I can put anything else in the tank with her.

In another tank I have snails (mystery) I know that is one thing that can go with her what are some others?

Thanks alot,
Angel Eel

hmm, i have heard alot of bad stuff about putting dwarf frogs in with fish, also seen the dwarfs with little fish in their mouths, and tore up fishy fins galore, also, about the snail, on a mystery snail website i visit i have heard about curious fish getting too close, and the snail accidently closing the fish in its door, the harder the fish thrashes, the harder it closes.

so, for a tank mate, why not a female guppy? or platty? they r quite nice to bettas (from experience) and if they give birth, the female betta can clean up weak ones that cant hide fast enough, or it can get all of them and you dont have to worry about over populating, just plant it realy heavely, it looks great that way!..plan to re-set up my 5-hex after i repair up the bottom..kinda a hole, but nothing a new bottom cant fix up good

Your choices are not many because of the tank size.
You could do some research on, Ottos, Cardinal Tetras, Kihli loaches even Cherry Barbs.

Have a look in [link=My Profile]http://

Are you sure thats dwarf frogs and not baby clawed frogs FH?

Remember Cherry Barbs can be very shy even up for as much as two weeks sometimes. They may also be very shy when it comes to feeding. If you get Cherries, buy some Hikari Micro Pellets. My cherries finally came out and really showed personality when I fed them these.

Make sure your betta isnt aggressive. I have a male betta with my cherries and so far have had no problems. I did try my female betta with 2 tetras and she was a little too much for them. So, she is with my 2 female paradise fish.

If you get Cherries, youll love em! They are precious and I believe they talk to each other!
