| Female Checkerboard Cichlid just laid eggs...now, what? | |

They share a well-established planted 10g tank with a handful of Neons and three Rummy-Nosed Tetras. Because they're in a much cleaner, healthier tank than the one they came from, I think improved conditions triggered a spawning in the new female. Right now, the pH is 6.0, there are lots of broad-leaved Anubias, Pygmy Anubias, and Java fern, and they eat 1 or 2 frozen food meals a day (another improvement over the endless flakes they were getting before). I alternate between Brine shrimp, Daphnia, and Bloodworms. I noticed that the female was hanging out on a single leaf for more than a day. Only today did I notice perhaps 2 dozen eggs on the leaf beneath her. She's doing a good job of fending off the stupid Neons, but I now have no idea what to do. Can someone help?
