i have a 10 gallon tank with 2 neon gourimies and a cloun loach and i pot a penguin bio-wheel 100 will that be ok?<br>it has been doing fine so far (bout 2 weeks)

Yup, that filter should be sufficient. Just remember to keep up with weekly water changes, once your tank has cycled. It is important to keep good water quality, as I'm sure your fish will agree.

One note- Clown loaches will grow to about a foot in captivity, and certainly need more than ten gallons in the long term. Also, they are social fish that should be kept in groups of at least three. Though they are very slow growers, they do experience growth spurts. You never know when your clown will make a jump in size, especially as young clown loaches grow more quickly than older ones. Just keep this in mind, you will need to move that fish at some point.

Thanks for the advice, i do have a 29 gallon tank just waiting to be set up as soon as my sister moves to her new room in about 2-3 weeks. ps, if u give me your email i can send you som picks of my set of ten gallon aquariums

O, one thing i forgot is that the tank has been going for about 6 months but my whisper filter quit and i have herd so many good things about penguin i got one of those instead. i also want to try live plants any thing i should know first?

for ur first post, the filter is good. the neons are schooling fish so 2 may not be enough. but if u were going to get plants make sure every week u clean the intake filter part.

by intake filter you are referring to the filter tube strainer? I have that model filter and run plants in the tank. the only filter part is the cartridge you slide in it.
