While looking at the pictures I noticed something that I have not seen on any of my fish before. Take a look at his/her stomach and you will notice a spiral. It is not a visual illusion ba EDIT: It is visible only from one side. Now, the question is: what is that? My guess would be the intestines, is that right? Have you ever seen something like this before? Thanks for any info you might have, Ingo LITTLE_FISH attached this image: ![]() Last edited by LITTLE_FISH at 03-Jan-2006 17:55[/font] |

Usually the peritoneal sac of a fish is opaque and hides such detail ... your platy has a sufficiently translucent peritoneal sac to make it visible under the right lighting conditions ... That's an excellent shot by the way! |

My first thoughts were also that it is the intestines, but I got a little worried that it might be a rolled up parasitic worm (or even Gary - - good one tetratech). And thanks for the compliments on the picture itself, although this shot made me aware that it is time to clean the glass again .BTW, my avatar probably shows this baby’s mother .Ingo |
