i have an empty ten gallon with white sand, i was thinking of putting dwarf puffers and bumblebee gobies in there (i am aware that bumblebee gobies are brackish, i will get the ones that are in freshwater at the lfs, if you know what i mean) i am wondering what else could go in there; kuhli loaches?

I believe that both bumblebee gobys and puffers are considered species tank only fish. I could be wrong but I would exercise extreme caution with tankmates as some species of puffers can release toxins when attacked.

If you're going with Dwarf Puffers & Bumblebee Gobies, just leave them in a species tank.

Why not consider kuhli loaches and cory cats? Both love a sand substrate, especially the kuhli loaches. Other loaches appreciate it as well. So do freshwater flounders, though I am not sure as to how big they get.

Another choice would be spiny eels, though you could only get one for a tank of your dimensions.

I have an 11 gallon tank with coral sand in with an Amazonian Puffer and 2 Australian Redclaw Crayfish in - they get on fine together and basically ignore each other as long as they're well fed.

I have heard that otos and puffers get along really well, as they won't draw attention to themselves, and the puffers should ignore them
