	Fish Identification

serpico Fingerling Posts: 21 Kudos: 16 Votes: 1 Registered: 07-Feb-2005	i was almost certain the 3rd was a bass... others i have no clue the bass is more of a shy fish, he hides in a clay pot and is territorial, he shows interest in the meat i put into the tank but i have about 25 of the "unknown" fish that just swarm it, any advice on keepin a bass, what they eat etc.. thanks

This particular cichla species grows big---past 2 feet in length, meaning your current tank will not be a suitable home for them, long term. serpico Fingerling Posts: 21 Kudos: 16 Votes: 1 Registered: 07-Feb-2005	got fish from cast netting in local lakes and retention ponds smaller fish (nile perch i think) are from 1 inch to close to 2 and everywhere in between the bass is about 3.5 inches
