I'm no cichlid expert, but that first pic is most definitely a peacock bass.

i was almost certain the 3rd was a bass...

others i have no clue

the bass is more of a shy fish, he hides in a clay pot and is territorial, he shows interest in the meat i put into the tank but i have about 25 of the "unknown" fish that just swarm it, any advice on keepin a bass, what they eat etc..

thanks

Peacocks aren't bass, but cichlids. This particular cichla species grows big---past 2 feet in length, meaning your current tank will not be a suitable home for them, long term. The third picture (or the first, depending on which post you look at), looks to be some sort of african cichlid.

I will agree that the 3rd one to me looks like a Bass of some sort, especially with the markings.

Welcome to FP Serpico

Can I ask where you got them? How big are they actually? Maybe this will help others to help you identify the fishies in question...

Best of luck, Heidi

Serpico, where are you located? This would help in the ID of the fish.
