I am in the greater Cincinnati area and was wondering if anybody knows some good fish stores around here. I have already been to House of Tropicals on River Road, and all the area Jack's. Just wondering if there are some I have missed that have aqnything worth going to see?

Did you check the phone book? That should give you some pretty good ideas on where to try.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think AcidRain, Gartzen, and Racso are in that area also and can help you out, try pming them heidi michelle

Hello, I'm Dani Racso (Jorge) is my boyfriend, and ACIDRAIN (Marc) is a mod of this site. There are quite a few "hidden" fish stores here in Cincy that Jorge and I have been to and would recommend. Perhaps some Saturday we could meet up and we'll take you around

Also, Marc introduced us to the [link=Greater Cincinnati Aquarium Society]http://www.gcas.org" style="COLOR: #FFFFFF[/link] (GCAS). It's a great club, there is an auction at the end of every meeting, and you meet really great people. The club also organizes 2 annual auctions- the spring auction was at the beginning of April, I'm not sure of the date of the fall auction. Herman63 (if you can ever find him) is a memer of the club as well. Jason_r_s drives in from Indiana for meetings when he can, and we all meet for dinner. This month's meeting is on the 29th, and I believe we decided we're having Mexican this time

Jacks, of course. I think the one in Tri-County is the best of them though, as they do order in what they think of as odd ball fish (the kind many of us are looking for)

And there are yet some others.

As Dani mentioned above, the fish club is only $10 to join, we have a speaker every month, most of the time they are big named people. You can check on her link for more info on the speakers. We have two club auctions each year, with 800-1200 bags of fish going through. We have BAP programs with awards. And there are small fish auctions at the end of every meeting, from the BAP that is turned in.

I work at a small little pet shop called "Your pet shop." Its nothing spectacular, but I am current in the middle of taking over as head of the fish department. If you are ever in the Hyde Park area, come and give a visit.

The GCAS is a great club to meet people and get fish cheap too. The auction is GREAT! I was able to get some discus for REAL cheap! ( Marc) Also this is the best (and maybe only) way to get some super rare fish.

EDIT: Marc, Just About Fish moved to Beechmont, by the end of 32, and it is VERY SUPER DUPER close to Dani and I. In fact, its closer to me than than the meetings to your house.

The place I showed Koi, was Aquatics & Exotics.

Jorge, I was just there a couple weeks ago, but I am not familiar with that part of town, so I could not remember the roads and such. And yes, it is better than their old place.
