Posts: 2623 Kudos: 2462 Votes: 337 Registered: 29-Mar-2003 ![]() | I definately wouldn't go with the giant danios, as it's been said they alone would crowd the tank, and do need to be kept in schools of 6 or more...then you could have a happy school of them I must admit I wouldn't have thought of putting danios in with the firemouth cichlid, but that would/will make a nice contrast and combination...hml"I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." katieb![]() Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 ![]() | If you want to cover the 3 regions you could try this: Top: 6-8 Hatchet fish Middle: Firemouth Bottom: 6 corydoras species or 1 small pleco (bristlenose come to mind...) Most fish tend to swim all over the place, even if theyre classfied as top, middle, or bottom dwellers. However hatchet fish and bottom feeders i listed tend to stick to their region often. Your plan, save for the giant danios, sounds very cool. However if your really looking to cover all of your regions a little more precisely, id look into the fish i listed. Those hatchetfish are neat little guys ![]() I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |
