I dunno about the difference between packaging, shipping, and preserving garlic versus garlic powder, but my hunch tells me that using a real garlic probably runs on less of a track with things such as preservatives and more on one that's more... organic, for lack of a better term. In any case, I haven't really looked into the studies of garlic actually being a help, although there are people who do believe it helps with fish immunity. In any case, yes, for some reason fish can be quite attracted to the foods with garlic in it. It is sometimes used to get pickier fish to eat. However, I'm not entirely sure how wide garlic's use is. Can't hurt, though, unless you use too much. ![]() -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

It is also used as a wormer by some people, I wouldn't rely on it to be 100% effective, but its something to keep in mind ![]() |
