Is this possible???

I have about 7 Male guppies and was going to put in 1 maybe 2 goldfish in the tank as well.

The tank is not heated and is running an under gravel filter. It is big enough to take more fish so will this work?

it might be big enough for more fish, but not goldfish goldfish need to stay with goldfish, and they can get quite huge and they are also really bad waste producers...so no don't put them together, get yourself a nice 250 gallon tank, and put about 15 fantails in there and watch them grow and love the room Also goldfish are known for being a bit on the piggy side, if it fits into their mouths they eat it, if it doesn't they bite off chunks and eat it...

If your tanks 70gals plus and the guppys arent fancy (meaning they can move fast) maybe 1 or 2 very fancy slow goldfish will work

Goldfish need a big tank, they are messy & i wouldn't mix them with Guppy's.

Why don't you try something compatable with Guppy's?.

If you're looking for fish that can handle a wider temp range what about danios, or white cloud mountain minnows. I'd still suggest a heater, if it's smaller than 30 gallons. What I do is ajust the temp of the heater up or down so that the temp cant swing too much in a 24 hour time period. It's kept warmer in summer, cooler in winter.
If it's a larger tank you might look into some of the barbs (not tigers obviously). Havent noticed rosy barbs nor gold barbs all that nippy. My rosies wintered over in my indoor pond (room temp) and handled temps in the low 60's F. Many fish can handle temps outside the range given, but only if the change is done slowly enough.
IMO anyway .

One thing that I didn't see mentioned was that when keeping fish at lower temperatures than the norm for that species pay particular attention as to how much you are feeding them, because as the temperature lowers so does their metabolism and their ability to properly digest food.

Guppies will do fine with goldfish, the issue is how crowded the tank would end up being. Wild guppies have almost as much of a temperature range as goldfish, it's the more fancy ones that seem to have a reduced tolerance for the cooler temperature.

Many commonly available tetras are fine in unheated tanks as long as the temperature doesn't go below 68 degrees. Lemons, Columbian red and blues, Head and Tail Lights, Blind Cave Fish, and Neons are just a few tetras that do fine in unheated tanks.
