I'll sell the tiger barbs and the goldfish back to a pet store, considering the goldfish is way too big to be in a 15g or 38g, and I don't think that the tiger barbs would be happy in a 38g with my mollies and platies. I was thinking about using the 15g as a grow-out tank for my platie/molly fry.

Anyway, good deal or am I being screwed? I figured that this was pretty nice for $45.

The tank,hood,power & undergravel filters, heater,and pumps I'd say were worth more than $45 ,so yes your probably getting a good deal.

I would definitley go for it and at the same time you are doing a great thing and you will be giving the goldfish and tiger barbs a much better home!

yes, that is a good deal. i have spent probably $200 on my 15

I suppose I liked the way 'I hate you' sounds in French. Other than that, there's no reason that I'm so fond of the name. Haha.

Go for it & buy that tank.

Trade the goldfish into the LFS for more tiger barbs. Goldfish do not belong in that sized tank. Common "feeder" goldfish are much too large and active to be kept indoors and really need ponds (goldfish are carp after all ).
If it's a fancy goldfish it'll need a 75 gallon tank as a minimum.

Don't bother with the UGF it's going to be more trouble than necessary. No wonder they're selling the tank....looks like they didnt know much of anything about fish and didnt bother to find out .
