| Green Water.... | |
diamatron![]() Fingerling Posts: 49 Kudos: 9 Votes: 0 Registered: 12-Aug-2001 | I have been having this green water problem. I recently changed my light bulbs on my hood to 4400's. Would this lower light intensity make algea grow like this. I bought this lower light so the tank was less bright and alo thinking lower light levels actually would help stop algea grouth, not promote it! |

Check the nitrates in your water. If it is high, then it could be feeding the algae. Also have you done a recent water change? That could help lower the algae in your tank.
