At the bottom of my tank there is a crack that water comes out of. What can I use to seal is up?

I just had the same problem on my 29gal tank. The fix was easy. The worst part was having to move my fish out.

You are going to have to get yourself some aquarium silicone, and if you are patient enough you can get a larger container of it for a cheaper price, but you will have to compare ingredients of the actual aquarium silicone, and the silicone found in housewares, I forget which one of the ingredients it is in some of the housewares silicone you need to watch for, but it can kill your fish:#(

Then you will need to drain the tank and of course move you fishies to another holding tank, or plastic rubbermade container (thank you it just dawned on me what I can use now ) clean the area where the crack is really well, and clean it with alcohol, let it totally dry then follow the directions on the silicone...

If possible try to figure out what caused the crack in the tank, so that you won't have to do this again any time soon I know some of our bigger more aggressive fish will pick up the gravel and ornaments and throw them across the tank *cough*bayoubuddiesfish*cough* and if this is the problem you might have to find something to better amuse the fish that is not so destructive

Best of luck, I too have to reseal a tank, but mine isn't as simple as a crack]:|

if the actual glass base is cracked, you need to either stick on a false floor or replace the entire sheet of glass.
