Im currently setting up a new paladarium (terrarium like setup). I need to find a decent sumbermersible powerhead. What are a few that are cheap, good quality, and quiet. Any suggestions ??

Not meaning to be rude but all those copnditions and cheap???? I suggest looking for a good second hand unit that might be the only way. All the best.

I'm quite pleased with Aquaclears powerheads, have three of them.
Looking for cheap, I'd go with ordering online, either [link=http://www.bigalsonline.com]http://www.bigalsonline.com" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] or [link=http://www.thatfishplace.com]http://www.thatfishplace.com" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link]. I'm quite pleased with big als service.

How big is the tank, how much water you want it to move... and cheap? good powerheads are not cheap but in the long run those stand up to the use and almost never malfunction.

A well cared powerhead might last moooooooore than 10 years.

I got mine from Wal-Mart in the fish department, and have been very pleased with them...and they do take some abuse from the cichlidsHeidi

I use Hagen Aquaclear. Excellent quality for the price. I paid about £20 UK for mine (around $38 US).

Excellent units. Even if this sounds a bit pricey to you, it's worth it, because they're robust.
