The Peacock just gave birth & she was keeping them i her mouth.
Just put the fry in a seperate tank & put the Peacock back in the tank.

If you don't know how to take the fry out, just leave them & she will spit them out when she thinks it's safe enough.

What are the tank mates?.
Can you put her in another tank, on her own?.
Hopefully she hasn't swallowed them.

ok i managed to get her to spit them out and i have now released her back in the tank and she is eating again which is great to see!

Ive got the 4 peacock cichlids and two electric blues in the tank and so far none of them have tried to attach the net of fry.

Do i just feed them liquid food for the moment? and what should i move onto after that?

Yes, you can feed them liquid food, but also try to feed them some Brine Shrimp.

Good news that the mother is eating again, after a long starvation.

I'm not a fan of net breeders, as the fry may be sucked.

How many fry do you have?.

there are about 15 of them... the mother keeps hanging around the net and its making me feel guilty about seperating them!

i have rocks at the bottom of the net to stop them getting pecked at but the other fish dont seem bothered by them at all which is good.

the other fish in the tank all have ich . so im gng to transfer the fry into an isolation container with an air stone and treat the tank.

thanks for your help!

Is Ich the same as White Spots?. If yes, just raise the tank temperature to about 30 deg. cel.

Take the fry out of there & put them floating in a container & add an Airstone.

Add the temperature & hopefully they'll be fine. I think that you didn't notice them immediatly & the problem is worst now.

Last but not least................ Goodluck.
