I have 3 (i know, not enough, but im getting more)harlequin rasboras, and I just wondered what might encourage them to breed. I've read in books that they are difficult to breed, but its worth a try.
Also, while on the subject of rasboras, is it ok for me to feed them fruit flies? When I got them a couple of days ago, i read that they were insectivores, and fed them a few. I just wanted to make sure that it would be safe to continue feeding them the fruit flies.

Try to feed them Live Brine Shrimp & Daphnia, to trigger them into breeding.

You can buy some Daphnia & Brine Shrimp from you LFS. I don't know about fruit flies, if they're safe or not, but if you are sure that they are clean, you can use them.
