| Help Set up Work Tank !! | |
vic![]() Enthusiast Posts: 213 Kudos: 228 Votes: 288 Registered: 16-Mar-2004 ![]() | We have a 75 Gal here at work in the Front Lobby.. Currently set up with One Lonely Fancy GoldFish. The Tank was never really taken great care of, but water changes were atleast made ever so often. Algae has built up, but I have purchased 2 Plecs and they have been cleaning for few days now....(Doing Great). I have since Gravel Vac'd and placed a new Penguin Filter for the tank...The tank itself has been running for over a Yr now....Fully Cycled and now is Crystal Clear.....(other than the algae being controlled now) I would like to hear some suggestions on what I should put in there : Small Fishies / Or Few Larger Fish ?? Thanks for the Help |

Especially if you have common plecos. Work tanks can be a bit difficult especially if people start complaining that you're putting too much time into it .If keeping the goldfish then I'd suggest a large school of smaller fish, white cloud mountain minnows enjoy the same temps as goldfish. Personally I'd return the plecos for something smaller. Also any consideration as to planted or non planted as far as the aquascape goes? ^_^ [hr width='40%'] And though it’s red blood bleeding from her now. It's more like cold blue ice in her heart. I was just looking for other suggestions. Currently the plants are all Fake, and there are many Decorations and Rocks.... I was thinking of a few Angels and Cories.. Just looking for other thoughts.. Rather have a Few Larger Fish than alot of smaller ones |

Personally my favorites for that type of set up would have to be barbs. Large fish might be more eyecatching but they don't really do anything. And lets face it a 75 gallon is still rather small for any fish classified as "large" I say a school of 10-15 gold barbs, and a school of 10-12 albino or pepper corys (they can take the lower temps) would be much more amusing than adding one more goldfish. With the 3 fish you have in there now IMO you've likely used up at least 40 gallons of the "space" ^_^[hr width='40%'] And though it’s red blood bleeding from her now. One will remain but the other 2 will go into a Pond, (Summer Time)...So, Barbs? Never done Barbs. Are there a good variety to have 4/4/4=12 instead of all 12 the same? |
