Ive been keeping fish for about 1-2 years now. i want my tank to be more lively and natural. Any ideas for a 29-gallon. I dont have any decorations or plants in it, just subtrate.

Inhabitants..
1x Discus
1x Marbled Pleco
2x Rosboras Tetras
2x Khuli Loaches
2x Bronze Cories
Added a week ago..
1x Neon Tetra
2x Keyhole Cichlids

Im thinking about giving away my discus. What kind of set-up could possibly have with what I have already?

The discus would be much happier in another tank, as they're pretty specialized fish.

Also, neons are schooling fish so picking up more of those would be beneficial.

The other tetras would be happier with friends, as would the cories.

In the meantime, pick up some driftwood and some plants, place them to liking with a few little thickets so the fish have some places to hide and take a breather. Maybe a little cave too

Decorations are really up to the owner, but the fish like little places to hide and explore, so don't leave them out.

Thx fallout for the help.

I would like to put some real plants in my tank. I have less then 1wpg. my water is soft and acidic. I dont plan on investing on a co2 system or extra lighting, way to expensive, im just a broke highschool student. can any decent looking plants grow under these conditions?

There is always the standby Java Fern and most anubias species. Java moss also pretty much can't be killed.

The Tetra's & Corydoras that you have, prefer to have more friends, as they are schooling fish but i don't think you have space to make them a school of 6 each.
