Ok well here is my list of fish currently in my 10 gallon that is fully cycled and half planted:

6 x-ray tetras
1 gold barb
1 snail
2 emerald cories
2 cherry barbs

Iam planning on bringing back the cories and the gold barb due to size issues. And while @ my LFS i got a quick glance and this cat fish who had a white underbelly, really long barb things and a greyish blackish body who was rather active...can someone give me a name for this? I'd appreciat it...

TIA

with the 6 tetras, 2 cherry barbs, and snail- that 10 gallon is full.you dont have room to add anything else- except amybe some shrimp.

the catfish- not sure- take a look threw the profiles, but at best guess it sounds like it would easily not even fit in your tank full grown.

Did it look anything like [link=this?]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/pictus.xml" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] click "more photos" on the left for a few more shots.

If so then no, way too big for the 10, in fact even with what you've returned you're still overstocked (IMO). You'll need to maintain the tank carefully to prevent it from crashing.
Get a bigger tank, you know you want it .

Not positive, but it sounds like it could be a channel catfish, which get huge (and also are great to eat.)

It may be one of the Pimolidae (sp.) species cats which would also be too large and active for your tank.

I think that you are fully stocked with the 6 X-Ray Tetras & the 2 Cherry Barbs.
