Im new to fish profiles

I have two tanks, one established ten gallon and a new (to me that is I baught it USED GREAT PRICE!!) 38 gallong eclipse tank.

In the ten gallon Im keeping it as a fry tank for my guppies~whom I love! I have:

Blue male Guppy
Yellow leperd MAle Guppy
2 Yellow/black guppies Male
blue female
Black female Black/ornge female
Black /red female
yellow leperd female

And I had the most beautiful Male red/Black Leperd But WHAAAA He passed yesterday for NO REASON My ph is 7.2 nitrite is 0 amonia is 0 and my nitrate is embetween 0 and 20.

?Why did he die?

My new tank, the 38, has four guppies (one blue male, one black/red male, two leperd females ) in it and my six blue neons (these are always my cycling fish).
When Can I add the rest of my fish do you think?? Ive had the tank running for two weeks I just added the four guppies three days ago, and everythings doing fine in this tank 0 nitrates, nitrites, and no amonia. ph is 7.2.

WHAT DO U GUYS THINK?

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH
Jessica

Fancy guppies, particularly the extremely highly developed varieties, are often inbred and will have weakened immune systems. You water is fine, so the guppy was probably just genetically weak or had some undetectable parasite that killed it. That's my only guess.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

well come FP
i'm sure you'll learn a lot from this fun site
and as said above fancy guppies can be a little temprimental so maybe you didn't introduce the little guy properly ie the change from two different enviromments could have been too suden or the pH may hve been to different and about the cycling sounds like the bio-filter is just about ready for action but i'd leave it another couple of days just to make sure the amonia and nitrie spikes are over
but once again wellcome to this orsome site :88)

well...i dont like mixing meds...it lowers the immune system of the fish to crashing blow...but...u may combine melafix with pimafix to enhance effectiveness.

Welcome to FP Jess.
You might want to start a thread about your friends oscar in our Hospital Forum. At the top of the page there is a thread that will tell you what we would like to know to be able to help the fish out. Searching through past posts in the hospital may provide valuable information that you can apply to your friends fish too.

EDIT: Had a look for you.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
