Hi, saw some hoplo catfish in lfs the other day and was just curious if they would be ok for my tank. read up on them a little and should be fine with other fish but just thought i should check with others. Tank i have is a 75g, currently there are apprx 5 bristlenose catfish, 2 pictus, 3 clown loaches (juvies), 2 firemouths (juvies), 2 bolivian rams, 4 curviceps (juvies), 8 red eye tetras, 1 flying fox, 1 red tail black shark, 4 swordtails, 2 blue gouramis, 3 chequered rainbows, 3 goyder river rainbows (juvies) and 2 kuhli loaches. Tank is filtered by 1200 l/h canister, aquaclear hang-on cant remember size and 1500 l/h internal powerhead and do apprx 40% water change every fortnight. all fish seem more than happy at moment, tetras, bristlenose and chequered rainbows have spawned (all eggs and unfortunatley baby catfish were eaten) and bolivians went into spawning mode but don't think did anything.

Let me know if you if you think i could get them. thought i could probably get one but then read they like to be in groups but at most i would only get 2.

here is a bad pic of my tank but shows most of fish in there.

You are fully stocked in the bottom strata. I would not add any more fish.

I some in my tank and they can get to a decent size.
I also think you are at your limit now, and when the Clown Loaches get bigger I think you could easly be over stocked.
