	How Small is a Small School?
kowar100 Fingerling Posts: 47 Kudos: 45 Votes: 0 Registered: 03-Sep-2005	Hello. I was just reading the profiles listed on this site on different barbs. I noticed that unlike most barbs the site recommends that the Checkered Barb be kept in a "small school". How many fish would this be? Is 3 a small school, or maybe 4??

littlemousling Conchiform Posts: 5230 Registered: 23-Aug-2003	I tend to go with a minimum of 6. My basic policy is: if it's enough that a group that size of Tiger Barbs wouldn't slowly kill each other off, it's acceptable. 6 is just barely OK. 8 is much better. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com!
