I've got nine beckford's pencilfish in a 55 gallon tank with six guppies, a farlowella, a clown pleco, a female betta, a male badis badis, and a few cories (three pandas, six albino aneus, three corys that I've yet to identify through the Cat-eLog, and one delphax). I'm going to get at least six of each the cory species as soon as I buy and cycle a 40 gallon, and then I'll have about twelve cories in the 55. I'm not worried about the number of guppies increasing because all of the fry end up as live food for the rest of the fish in the tank.
How many more pencils can I have in the tank? I'd love to have about two dozen, but would that be too many?
Also, like I said in another thread, I'd like to put some ghost shrimp in the tank. Would they be compatible with these fish?

Edit: Is it corys or cories?
And how many ottos can I add to the tank? I'm getting a green algae on the glass.. would the ottos eat it?

I think that you can add 3 more pencils & 4 Otto's.
I think the right one is........ Corydoras.

Jason-
Thanks for the suggestions. I thought ottos liked being in larger groups, though, so do you think six ottos would be okay if I don't add any pencils?
Corydoras will work. Just gotta remember how to spell it.
