hi guys,

sadly due to changing circumstance i'm goign to have to sell my discus tank. i was wondering you coudl jelp me put a resonable price tag on it for me, heres a list of what it has. some of you might of seen it

home made stand and lid, woodgrain polish finish
1x 4ft light and globe (fixed to the hood)
1x 38" light and globe (not fixed)
the tank it's self, 4ft, 55G excellent condition
1x Aqua One CF700 Cannister (excellent condition)
1x Eheim 2213 Cannister (good condition)
1x 300w heater
all gravel, rocks and plants..

i don't know if i want to include the discus, or try to sell them to a LFS

what would you charge for the stuff above? and what shoudl i do with the Discus? sell privately, try and sell them to a LFS or included the tank ?

i think you'd be safer selling em to LFS, you'd prolly get more outta of them, also, if someone wants the tank and not the fish, then, what would you do? i bet you could get some pretty decent prices for your discus.

It's better to sell the tank & Discus seperatly. Ask you LFS for the Discus & see how much you'll get for them & then you can sell the empty tank.

What's it worth to you? By that I mean if you were in the market for used equipment, what would you personally be willing to pay? That's probably about what you would be able to get. Remember, it's used and someone really won't pay anywhere's close what it would cost new. So price accordingly. Probably not much more than 50% of what you paid for it at best.
