How would you stock a 75g? | |

Two large schools of some kind off small tetra and school of corys for the bottom, a few Hatchetfish for the top and school of Otocinclus for the Algae. And lots of plant. This would cost some money to start up but it would look very cool. |

I'm not good with cichlids, but I'm pretty sur ethat 2 Oscars and 1 Firemouth could eventually be problematic, especially for the firemouth. Hmmm, if I had a 75 gallon perhaps I'd keep Discus. I've never had them before, it would be nice to try them out. As said, I don't know too much about cichlids, but I think 75 gallons is large enough for at least two. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

longhairedgit Fish Guru Lord of the Beasts Posts: 2502 Kudos: 1778 Votes: 29 Registered: 21-Aug-2005 | To put no finer point on it a full size oscar could probably eat a firemouth, and certainly could beat it to death in seconds in a territorial dispute.Im actually amazed the oscar hasnt already eaten the apple snail, so i'm assumming the oscar must be merely a youngster, there are probably serious problems in the offing with that type of stocking.. |
