dogmai333![]() Hobbyist Posts: 90 Kudos: 79 Votes: 19 Registered: 03-Feb-2005 ![]() | HELLO I AM MOVING NEXT WEEK AND I HAVE A TEN GALLON TANK, HOWSHOULD I MOVE THE TANK? I AM NOT MOVING VERY FAR JUST A COUPLE OF BLOCKS DOWN THE STREET, SO I CAN MOVE THE TANK FIRST OR LAST. SHOULD I PUT MY FISH INTO TUPPERWARE AND SAVE AS MUCH WATER FROM THE TANK AS POSSIBLE? JUST SOME EXPERIENCED SUGGETIONS WOULD BE NICE. THANKS A WHOLE LOT THIS IS LIKE MY FIFTH QUESTION AND EVERYONE HAS HELPED ME OUT ALOT. MONKEYS ARE COOL, BUT SEA-MONKEYS ARE BETTER. |

TThat way you shouldn't have any problems. Empty the tank as much as possible and try not to stress or twist it when lifting (best to have help) so as not to break the silicone seals. Good luck and enjoy the new home. JIm ![]() |

I was able to carry the 10 gallon tank on my own after removing most of the water, it is not that difficult, you are very lucky you don't have a big tank yet (you probably will soon lol...we are all addicted... ) Here is the link to my forum to give you some ideas:http://fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Technical%20Tinkering/58005.html?200504161635 Good luck! They can easily break or the silicone will come off. You can use plastic buckets for your fish & water & make the move as short as possible. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.deathbydyeing.org/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
